Growing Snapdragon Seeds

Snapdragons bloom best in 40 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures. To give them the longest flowering season, start their seeds indoors, uncovered, eight to 10 weeks before the last frost. They tolerate light frost but will stop blooming once the weather warms.

Early indoor planting is recommended, then transplanting to the garden. Established plants can be transplanted during early spring to encourage blooming as soon as possible.

Germination takes 10 to 14 days and the approximate finish is between 13 to 16 weeks.
